Its f/1.4 maximum aperture is suitable for working in low-light conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field. The nine-blade diaphragm contributes to creating dramatic blur by isolating the subject from its surroundings. Its optical design incorporates extra-low dispersion and high refractive index elements to suppress a variety of aberrations and distortions.

Additionally, an extra-low dispersion element reduces color fringing and chromatic aberrations for a high degree of clarity and color accuracy.

Due to its physical design, this lens is not suitable for use on the FUJIFILM X-Pro3 camera and may scratch the camera body if attached.

Multilayer coating

HD Nano Multi-Layer Coating has been applied to individual elements to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.

Quiet and precise STM motor

The STM stepping motor enables fast, quiet, and precise autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. Additionally, an internal focusing design maintains the full length of the lens during use for improved handling and faster response.

Integrated USB port

The built-in micro-USB port can be used to update the lens firmware.
