Gitzo Traveler GT2545T Tripod

The GT2545T tripod belongs to Gitzo's Traveler family, featuring a 180° leg fold that optimizes space by accommodating the center column and ball head between the folded tripod legs. The Traveler tripods are now more robust thanks to the use of advanced "Carbon eXact" tube technology, further saving space with the compact 'Traveler G-lock' locking system, and are easier to transport with the supplied shoulder strap.

The GT2545T tripod, part of Series 2, has the largest diameter tubes in the Traveler tripod range. It is much taller than its predecessor, thanks to the space-saving Traveler G-lock system. Recommended for use with lenses up to 300mm focal length, it is ideal for photographers using longer lenses or requiring maximum stability. The feet are interchangeable, and spikes or oversized rubber feet can be added as an option.

Gitzo's center-mount ball heads are designed for professional photographers and advanced amateurs seeking the best equipment available. They are developed and manufactured to be the ideal complement to Gitzo tripods. The new heads are available in three sizes and are perfect for the Gitzo Traveler and Mountaineer tripods.

Gitzo's new family of center-ball heads incorporates revolutionary features, with innovations that all photographers will appreciate. The ball surfaces are coated with tungsten disulfide (WS2), which is one of the smoothest materials known to science. Tungsten disulfide has extremely low friction, necessitating an extremely efficient locking mechanism (patent pending) and the use of high-hardness metal components beneath and around the ball. When moving the ball, the locking mechanism provides comfortable friction, and the ball can be locked with minimal effort, while preventing deformation or unwanted movement.
