The screen is also new, with a tilting HDR LCD and a brightness of up to 1,500 nits, making it the perfect tool for working even in broad daylight.

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera models offer high-end features in a compact and portable design. Made from a polycarbonate and carbon fiber composite, they feature a multi-function handgrip with all the controls needed to record and adjust ISO, white balance, and shutter speed. The sensor has been engineered to reduce thermal noise for sharper shadows and higher sensitivity. The 5-inch display also allows for precise focusing at 4K or 6K resolution. These cameras also include a removable battery cover, four shock-resistant microphones, a rugged mount, and a built-in speaker.

Multifunction grip with convenient controls

The multifunction grip features an ergonomic design that simplifies access to essential features such as ISO sensitivity, white balance, and shutter speed. There's even a small scroll wheel under your index finger for quick aperture adjustments. It also features other non-traditional controls for a DSLR, meaning you don't have to waste time searching through menus on a small screen. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera models feature record and photo buttons arranged in a familiar layout for easy access. Plus, there are programmable controls and knobs for high frame rates, focus zoom, false color, and more. Essential controls at your fingertips

On the front and top of the camera are buttons to start or stop recording and take photos, as well as controls for adjusting the aperture, ISO sensitivity, white balance, and shutter speed. The power button is located next to the three programmable buttons.

Controls on the rear panel

The three buttons located below the thumb rest allow you to quickly change the frame rate, zoom in, access camera settings menus, and play back shots for evaluation.

High-resolution digital cinematographic sensors

The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K features a 4096x2160 sensor, while the 6K models have a 6144x3456 resolution. Whether shooting in bright daylight or near darkness, the 13-stop dynamic range and dual maximum native ISO 25600 mean stunning images with extremely low noise in a wide variety of lighting conditions. The 6K models also feature a larger Super 35 sensor, allowing for deeper depth of field and anamorphic lenses. All models offer the ability to shoot up to 60 fps at full resolution, or 120 fps by reducing the usable sensor area. Blackmagic’s unique sensor and colorimetry offer the same technology as those found in today’s most expensive film cameras.

Compatibility with photographic and cinematographic lenses

With three models available, you can use a wide variety of EF or Micro Four Thirds lenses. The 6K versions feature an EF lens mount, so you can use existing lenses from other cameras, such as DSLRs, URSA Mini Pro, or even the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera. Additionally, you can use standard photographic lenses, providing even more creative options and cinematic-quality effects. The Active Mount also allows you to adjust focus and aperture using physical or virtual knobs. It's worth noting that the Micro Four Thirds mount on the 4K version can be adapted to use PL, C, EF, and other lenses.
