The optional Umbrella Backpanel is like a shower cap with an elastic band. Attach it to the front of your Umbrella Translucent to turn it into a softbox. The backpanel is a fabric that's white on the inside and black on the outside. Using the backpanel eliminates light leakage, which could have affected the quality of light falling on your subject as it bounces off the environment. More light will also pass through the umbrella and fall on your subject. This makes it an excellent tool when your flash unit's power is limited.
