Description

Profoto's Collapsible Reflectors perhaps represent light shaping in its simplest form. They are easy to use, easy to transport, and can be used to bounce or diffuse both sunlight and flash light. The sturdy, collapsible metal frame is equipped with two ergonomically shaped handles that make it easy to fold the reflectors and hold them in various positions.
The white fabric reflects light as naturally as possible, making it our most popular reflector and a great tool to start with. It provides soft, natural light, which is ideal for capturing outdoor portraits in bright sunlight, or for studio sessions when using a flash. To achieve the best effect from the white reflector, it should be placed very close to the subject.
In reality, the black fabric isn't a reflector, but rather a tool you can use to dim or block light, as well as eliminate unwanted light. By using the reflector with black fabric, you can create shadows in the image (for example, on the model's cheekbones), which helps visually sculpt a face.
