Description

An advanced optical design has been used to overcome the tendency of ultra-wide-angle lenses to distort and control distortion without the need for digital correction. This allows for high resolution to be achieved in every corner of this ultra-wide-angle lens.

The lens assembly consists of 10 elements in seven groups, including two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements, as well as a rounded seven-blade diaphragm. The lens features distance and depth-of-field scales on the barrel, making it suitable for a variety of shooting techniques, such as prefocusing.

Thanks to its maximum aperture of F2.8, the lens is well-suited for low-light photography. The short minimum shooting distance of 18 cm means it can effectively blur the background while still providing the sense of perspective characteristic of ultra-wide-angle lenses.

The Fujifilm X mount has a short back focus distance of just 13.3mm, preventing vignetting and achieving clarity and brightness in every corner. Image distortion and chromatic aberration are well controlled to achieve high resolution in every corner of the image, making the lens ideal for landscape photography.
