Description

This lightweight and versatile 18mm XF F2 lens (equivalent to 27mm at 135m) provides excellent image resolution throughout the entire frame, including the edges.

The 18mm XF F2 lens offers precise depth of field control and excellent bokeh with a blurred background thanks to the design of the molded diaphragm aperture blades. The blades are curved to create a circular image at all aperture settings, while the edges of each blade are meticulously rounded rather than simply cut, resulting in a sharper image.

Plus, the solid feel of the high-quality metal barrel and precise exposure adjustment in 1/3-stop increments using the aperture ring fuel the desire to capture more photos with every shot.

The X mount has a lens edge distance of just 17.7mm, having been specifically designed to take full advantage of the body's mirrorless design. This means the rear lens elements are as close to the sensor as possible. The wide aperture allows the lens to be mounted deeper into the body (up to approximately 7.5mm from the mount surface), reducing the back focus distance of each lens to a minimum and enabling high resolution to be achieved right to the edges of the image.
