Description

Leica's Geovid HD-B binoculars combine the image quality of a multi-coated optical array with a laser rangefinder with a range of up to 1,825 meters and an integrated ballistics computer. Using a series of sensors, this electro-optics is capable of analyzing atmospheric conditions to help hunters find the best angle relative to their prey. By compiling the information provided by the laser rangefinder and environmental sensors, the ballistics computer calculates numerous values that help determine the best shooting location.

Leica's advanced ballistic technology combines temperature and atmospheric pressure readings with rangefinder data to determine the shooting distance based on the user-defined ballistic curve and calculate ballistic compensation values. To increase the accuracy of the compensation values, the Geovid HD-B allows the shooter to enter their firearm's zero value and select an appropriate ballistic curve. The HD-B features 12 pre-recorded advanced curve compensations for various calibers and weights. New curves can be entered and stored using the included micro-SD card. All this information can be viewed without taking your eyes off the binoculars.

Like other Geovid binoculars, the HD-B model replaces the oxygen inside with nitrogen, preventing condensation and fogging. In addition, all fluoride lenses feature a multi-layer coating, resulting in faithful images with bright colors. The prism is a Porro Perger with phase correction, which combines the advantages of Porro and roof designs, creating lightweight and ergonomic binoculars without sacrificing depth of field or color fidelity. The lens exterior surfaces are treated with Leica's exclusive HDC coating and AquaDura, which repel liquids and prevent dirt from adhering to the glass. These features enhance the versatile nature of these comfortable binoculars, built to withstand the elements and perform well in low-light conditions.

In addition to its extensive functionality and high image quality, the Geovid HD-B includes a number of features that provide ergonomic handling and ease of use, such as the double bridge or the rear-centered focus wheel that helps stabilize the image.
