Therefore, parts produced from this type of polycarbonate (whose thermal expansion rate is similar to that of aluminum) are less prone to developing gaps over time. Both the barrel and the aperture mechanism components of the SIGMA 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary are made of TSC, contributing to the compact dimensions of the optics and the smooth operation of the aperture system. The use of TSC increases the precision of the cells containing the lens elements and the parts linked to the focusing lens group, further improving overall performance.
