The aspherical lenses effectively suppress spherical aberration and distortion while compacting the lens.

High-precision, high-speed AF

The inclusion of the new stepping motor makes focusing smooth and quiet in both still photography and video recording.

AF performance is significantly superior to phase-difference AF when using fast lenses at low focal lengths. When mounted on LUMIX G cameras, the high-precision, high-speed contrast AF system can be used.
